we just got the Hotcams shim kits in stock. it is a great kit.. comes with many sizes.
89.95 retail. $65 for members.

 

yeah i also have the hotcams hit, and you can buy it for like $60 something it comes with every size imaginable. also you can do it in any weather, but be very careful when doing it, becuz i have seen people drop the shims. the only tools you really need are feeler gauges, and allens. other than that if you have the shim kit it shouldn't take you very long.

 

What kind of oil are you refeering to? The only oil with a moly blend, to my knowledge, is the honda HP4.

As far as the shims........YES, invest in a kit, I sell them for $68.95. It is a 2 box set

What they mean by room temperature is make sure the bike is cold (not hot :re ) when you check your valve clearance. Doesn't matter what the outdoor temp is.

I was able to to find moly camshaft lube, but it was really expensive. Then someone told me his Honda manual says to mix moly grease with oil and apply that to the engine components.
