What is the difference between the skat trak haulers and extremes and how many paddles are you guys running on either?

Haulers are lighter, but the paddles have more of a cup to them , so they like to throw the sand up in the air more then the extremes. not good for the people that are following you. I use 21x12x8 - 6 paddle extremes on my 450's. I like the tougher extreme paddle because i do alot of tree shots & there's alway branches & limbs that i run over. the extremes weigh a little more than haulers but i have yet to rip a extreme. My 2 cents.

haulers are lighter, but everything else you said is wrong. the only difference between the two, is the strength of the paddle. extremes being stronger because they are 1/8" thicker. the "cup" of the paddle doesnt change. the tire carcuss doesnt change either, unless you order a buffed set. going over branches and limbs will puncture each the same.

I have ran both didn't mind either one. I like the haulers just because of the weight. But run a 8" wheel not a 10". The 10" will not hold up to big jumping or hard whoops or just hard riding. I been throw 2 sets of 10 and destroyed both went to the 8" and a 21 tall and a 7 paddle and havent looked back.

My yfz has a sparks exhaust and esr intake would 8 paddles be too much for it?

you would be fine with that. i run 8 paddle edges and i have full exhaust and fci, and dont have any problems.

and as stated above haulers suck to be behind, they throw one hell of a roost! my buddie has them on his 4 mill banshee and i never follow him in the trails anymore

Just tried a new set of extremes ( 21x12x8 - 7 paddle ) went from 20x10x10 - 8 paddle and love the 7's. Took a little time to get use to them but I wouldn't go back. Ran the 20's since 2006 and they are still in great shape.

As everyone else said, the paddle is just thicker on the extremes compared to the haulers. I highly doubt the paddles will rip off from the base anytime soon because the actual paddle is literally twice as thick. With the haulers, you can fold the paddle back with your hand, but with the extremes, that's almost hardly possible.

I run a 7 paddle extreme on my YFZ and it HOOKS up. I think 8 would be way too much bite though for me personally.

Where is the best/cheapest place to buy skat traks I've seen them on several sites but they are so f***ing expensive!

Try Fullerton Sand Sports, they're located in SoCal. I stopped by their shop personally. The guys there know there stuff, and it's a family owned business. Great guys to work with, very friendly, and good pricing.

Do you remeber how much they were?

It was about a year ago so I don't recall. I got rims too though, so that'll bring my price up. I want to say they were $350-400'ish but don't quote me since I'm not 100% sure.
