I've done a lot of reading and searching and can't findd much supporting evidence but over in YFZ tech I read that the ESR would take away from the bottem end. Is this true. I'm not looking to be ridiculed only to be set straight. I know it's meant for more gains in the mid and top end but didn't think it would take away from the bottom. Mine is in shipping right now so i can't tell form personel experience.

for all of you using this intake, whats your experience?

thanks

I have 3 buddies with the ESR intakes on thier 450r's and i rode all 3 before and after and never noticed any loss.

thats good, I am alsoputting on a full Balance Pro pipe and doing the cam mod if i get time over the holidays. I'm excited to see the difference.

The loss in bottom if any would probably be solved by putting stock box around it like many people have done. I may or may not try it. I guess that would take a bit away form teh top then.

any more comments!

It is not because of the box. You gain alot of power up top because of the size of the tube and opening to the filter. You lose on the bottem for the same reason. With that big tube you lose air velocity at lower rpms.
Like I said, you can't feel it. Only on a dyno can you see it.
