just got it started it would idle but when i pushed the throttle nothing happened, i can hear the slider moving up and down in the carb so the cable isint broke?

 

Could be the tors switch. Does it die when you push the throttle? If so there is a wire that goes into the thumb throttle. In the throttle there is a small switch. If it gets stuck the quad will die when you hit the throttle.

 

yes when it finally started it died when i hit the throttle. this thing is very hard to start and you have to give it gas to start.

 

Make sure your fuel feed is set to either "reserve" or "on" lol I did that my very first ride on mine, left it set to off after transporting it and boy did I ever feel dumb XD. If you have it set to "on" there may be gas in the tank, but it may be too low. Are you using the choke to start it? How far out is the choke? Is your air filter clean? Start with the easiest and cheapest fixes and move to the more complicated things like TORS after you have ruled all of those out.
