To make a long story short, I found out by accident that a regular YFZ clutch cable p/n 5TG-26311-00-00 is a better replacement for the stock YFZR clutch cable. BUT only if you are using an aftermarket clutch lever like the ASV or Sunline.
The cable itself is just a little shorter in the housing, allowing you to stay in the middle of the center cable adjuster, and you do not have to use any kind of spacer at the lever adjuster.

And if you remove the stock plastic handlebar cover, make sure you put a loose zip tye or other kind of cable guide at the end of the steering stem to keep the clutch cable from laying forward and allowing the inner cable to rub against the cable adjuster.

Hmm, thanks for the info. I have the cable adjusted all the way out at that adjuster down by the motor in order to have it adjusted in a reasonable place by the lever. Ive got a Zeta lever on mine.
