Seems like I've stripped the front oil drain plug on my 2009 Yfz450R :bawl, does anyone know what size bolt the drain plugs are?

Hopefully have a buddy who's handy with helicoiling, so I think that will be my resolution, just trying to figure out what size helicoil he needs to pick up.

From a little Google research, am I correct in saying it's a M10 - 1.25 x 15mm long

May also consider just putting a used tank set up on. Ebay is a great source for used parts.

Recently replaced my stock airbox as it developed a crack (cant imagine why)... Found a new oem take off for six bucks on ebay.

Efi don't have a external tanks.

I took mine to a dealership so I knew it was done by a Yamaha tech.

As above, unfortunately no external reservoir of the fi 450R's.

I ordered a helicoil kit so hopefully that should get me back up and running.

As for the techs, just about every time I have taken a machine, car, truck, etc to a "Tech" something gets done wrong or screwed up.

I use an 85 year old ******* farmer. Give him some duct tape, a rubber band, and a few paper clips, and he can fix anything...

I have the same year yfz450r, by chance do you know what size copper crush gaskets I need for oil drain plug
