So I have 2008 yfz450 478cc pump gas piston and hot rods crank, i am wanting to make it fuel injected i know I'll need the throttle body, ecu, wiring, the new battery box, fuel pump, and grab bar but issue is I dont want to swap the plastics so I can do the different fuel tank any ideas on how to modify the stock carb model yfz450 gas tank so I can install a fuel pump. I have a good amount of mechanical experience but I'd prefer not to mess it up maybe use a yz450f fuel pump since they are upside down? Any ideas are greatly appreciated alot.

I loved my 2004 YFZ and attempted the KMS fuel injected kit because it was available from a reputable forum member at the time. Once it was finally dialed in on my YFZ after many hours of trial and error the computer failed. The discounted new computer supplied by KMS didn't have the parameters saved from the broken ECU, so I had to start from scratch. I quickly lost interest and spent 2 hours re-installing the FCR carb and had zero issues. I would not go through the hassle of attempting the FI from a 2009+ model as they have their own quirks that normally need to be ironed out with a 800 Vortex ECU. However, if you decide to go full steam ahead please post pictures I'd love to see the outcome.
