I have a 2004 yfz450. I am fully aware that it needs the oil mod done to it. could I just buy a inner clutch cover from a 2007 bike with the oil jet already in it and bolt it on? or do I have to send it in to get it done? I have already sent one in on another quad I had but it would be cheaper just to buy a inner clutch cover from a 2007 or 2008

Yes you can,but you need to purchase the "bigger" oil pump they used in the 07+'Bikes as well
