YFZ Wiring diagram to eliminate battery & save weight

Does this work on all year YFZ's? Reason I'm asking is I was told the CDI box off an 04 will work on an 07 and vice versa, I have both and the 04 don't work on the 07, so I'm just curious if this works on all the year YFZ's.

Yes this will work, that 04 cdi you have should work in the 07 as well, all of the cdi's on the carbed bikes interchange.
