I have an 05' yfz 450
I have a brand new starter in it and it will crank normally for a turn or two then act like it disconnected and wont spin for a second then repeat. I have a feeling its the starter clutch but I am not sure and there isn't hardly any info on the starter clutches going out online so I am not sure and don't want to spend 50$ on repairs for nothing.
The bike had the valves severely out of spec and had to be cranked for extended periods of time and I feel that wore it out.
Any info helps!!!!
