Wont Return To Idle

i got an 09 yfz, and when we first got it, it was what we were told lean and wouldn't go past idle. we put a 50 pilot jet with 3 turns out on the fuel screw. it ran but when you revved it and let off, it wouldn't return to idle right away, it would stay at a certain RPM for a few seconds. we were told it was still lean, so we put a 52 pilot. we did 2 turns out on the fuel screw and its still doing it.

ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S GOIN ON?

The pilot jet isn't gonna make it idle funny like that. I think stock is a 42 so the 50 that you have in there is way to big. I would go with a 45 if it's still stock. Have you tried to adjust the idle at all. Also did you buy the bike used or new. If it's new then take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it.
Just thinking here but what about the throttle cable itself- my 05 sometimes idles high and I can pull the throttle lever toward me and it goes back down, or the cable as it enters the housing my need to be backed off with that net. just a thought. I know this is a new bike
the cable is fine, i know that. and yeah it is brand new. couple people told me it was doin that cause it was lean, so my dad decided to do that.
sounds like your cable is hanging up somewhere.
its not that, because it only does it when it gets real hot.
It may have a bad seal on the slide.
This is deffinately not "normal"........... If it's new, just take it back to the dealer and make them fix it. It should be under warrantee
well rode it today for about an hour and it didnt do it. so idk what it was, owell.
