Hello All,
o.k. which is it.... It seems to me that most racers (MX/TT) run their quads a little wider in the rear than the front.... Is this correct?????? At this point in time my front end is about 1.5" wider than my rear end... Will this set up produce any ill handling traits..... I plan to get an axle asap, but I have a race on Sunday..... gonna run in the 48" neighborhood once I get an axle...... I'm around 47-47.5" up front..... Let me know oh wise and fast ones.

did you say wide and fat? :D

I don't think you will have too much trouble with the rear being narrower.

I never have liked to have my front as wide as the rear.
Wider adds stability, but it also decresas traction. Front end "push" tends to get worse, the wider you go, and on some systems bump steer becomes an issue.

But, It is alot like shock setup, you need to find what you like and leave it.
