What's A 20 Hp Shot On N20 Supposed To Feel Like?

Well, just made some shake down runs on my '06 YFZ with the cold fusion wet kit set on a 20 shot. The street was slightly wet, so I only played around in 5th. My mods are GYTR, airbox, jetting & cam mod. It runs perfect on mtr only, very strong.

It did not feel that wild on a 20 shot!!!! It [picked up, but nothing like I imagined a 20 shot would. Anyone sprayed a 20 shot - - - how did it feel? Btw - tried a 10 shot 1st, it was not too much at all.

Checked fuel, the electric pump is working, checked the nitrous, spraying hard out the line. Checked the plug about 5 times, it looks perfect, maybe even a tad lean if anything. Running one range colder plug and 110 - stock timing. Sprayed it in nuetral at about 3500 rpm and it hits hard, flashes RPM fast like that, on cars that's a good sign everything is working.

It may be fine? What do you guys think?

why 110 octane? stock piston right?[/b]
Yes stock, used it as a safety margin on advice of other YFZ nitrous users and my past experience with nitrous.
so u wherent impressed with the 20 shot?!?!?!
u would think that it would pull like a different bike!!!
i was considering spray but after hearing this and the terror of rebuilding a blown motor i think ill stay off the happy juice!!! lol

I am not impressed so far - but it's too soon to tell for sure. Like I said, this was 5th gear only, go full throttle with the mtr well loaded, like 5th at 30 mph, and then hit the button. I was hoping it would feel like a mad beast, it did not.

I am wondering what others have found?
Maybe it has a greater effect at higher RPM's

Which really isn't a feasible test in 5th gear
with nos test the bike at WOT.. a nitrous hit at 20hp isnt going to give you the effect like the movies.... seeing how your using an electric fuel pump i'm assuming it has a connector with jets in the connector. try running it in 2nd gear at WOT hit the button for 2 seconds and kill it. take your plug out and look deep in the spark plug. down to the bottom of the porcelin. look for speckels ( signs of detonition) look at the color of your plug. the best way IMO to test nitrous is with egt gages. although many people feel that they are unnecessary i feel that i'd rather pay the 500 for the gages than the 2 grand to rebuild my motor after i blow a hole in the cylinder and destroy everything else. 1380 is melt down for aluminum ( trust me ).. i would not recommend going anywhere above 1250.. the leaner you can get your engine safely the more you will feel the effect. and w/o an egt gage how do you know if you can lean it out? pm me if you have any questions -Dan
cant u just dyno tune it???????
its half as expensive as the guages.....
Sprayed it just now several times. It pulls harder for sure, will easily life the wheels at 50 mph in 5th. It's not violent like I figured it would be, but pulls much harder and revs quicker. It's only about 55 here today and I have no bottle heater or guage, might at least get a guage. On cars, bottle pressure makes a huge diff, cold fusion said for a 20 shot do not worry about it, I am not sure that is good advice.

Anyone spray 20hp and go WOW - that is like adding another half a motor???

Btw - my only mods are GYT-R exhaust, filter, jetting & cam mod on a 2006.
