They´re pretty close... more or less, four to six thousandths on the intake side is what Yamaha calls for, and I usually set mine for five thousandths. As for the exhaust side, Yamaha calls for eight to ten thousandths, and I set mine for eight. Typically then, according to Yamaha specs, I´m in the middle of the acceptable range on the intake side, and on the tight side of being acceptable on the exhaust side. If I were you, I´d go with the Yamaha manual, as I didn´t engineer these machines... I only use them and work on them from time to time...
