service manual should call out a tolerance I don't know what it is but if it's in spec doesn't matter if there the same
Valve Shims
I'm working on ny 2007 yfz 450. The intake valves are out of spec and I was just wandering if when reshimming them do they all have to have the same clearance? Or can one be 0.12mm another 0.14mm and another 0.11mm?

2006 yfz 450... new top end and had valves shimed at dealer. Couldn't get the bike tuned in and decided to check spec on valves anyway. All new valves I should mention.
So spec is .oo4 to .oo6 on intake two were good one in center was .007 almost. 008
Does anyone know the correct shim to get it to .005?

Well if the dealer shimmed that valve who know what they put in it. Your just gonna have to take it apart and check then order accordingly2006 yfz 450... new top end and had valves shimed at dealer.
