just got a 2009 YFZR (stock), and want to do the following

Monster short can exhaust
FCi intake
MSD

also want to do

Cams? Hotcams,Web ?
Big Bore kit maybe a 480 athena??
CP 12:5 Piston (Pump Gas Safe)
Ported Head +1
Ported TB

my questions are:

are the planned mods Good or shoud i change something ?
also who is the best Vendor to get all these parts from as im from Kuwait

For the big 3 (monster, FCI, MSD) try Steve at TQSATV. I would suggest Geoff at MMAD for porting and his light speed or warpspeed cams.

its do-able with the right mods

and have the budget to do so, but want to do it right from the first time

Can you get race fuel or special OXY fuel (MR12) in Kuwait? You will get a lot more performance with a high compression piston. IF you really want to make it a beast have Geoff covert it to a carburetor, the fuel injection throttle body really holds these YFZR's back.

we can get race fuel, but we use the yfzr for long periods of time, so when its out of gas its hard to refuel, because we ride sometimes on the sreet and the desert and we can go to gas stations to refuel

as for switching carburetor, the main reason we got the R was it's fuel injected

i'll see what Geoff would recommend and report back
