To anyone that gets thumb pump try putting a thick rubber band or two around your thumb and and hold the other end with your other hand.
Place both hands down say on your desk in front of the computer and separate your hands enough to put some resistance on your thumb as you simulate the throttle.
Do reps of over 20, while your reading stuff of the computer.

ok. there's no need to do that.
when i first got my bike, i couldnt ride for 20 mins straight because my thumb would hurt so bad.

in Glamis, i bought a cascade thumb throttle and i have had a problem since. no pain, no pump, no problem.

it honestly is a worthwhile investment.

just my $.02
