starter gear hitting cam chain bolt

hey i have an 04 yfz and the the starter gear where the one way bearing goes is sliding in and hitting of the cam chain guide bolt there noting there to stop this from happing i have put a new crank in but it had done the same thing before and broke one of the cam chain guide bolts off any help here would be great
