Hey guys, I just need to know how far should this dowel stick out.

I can't find anything in the manual, I know I could mesure because the side case could touch it if it's not deep enough.

It's held in place by the inner and outer cases. If it looks like the top picture when it's assembled, you should be good to go. Just make sure you don't damage the seal on the other side when you put the shift shaft back in place.

The dowel pin needs to stick out enough(between 1/8-1/4inch) to catch what u have labeled as the "rotory mechanism". Otherwise that "mechanism" will spin when you try to shift, causing your shift forks to be out of sequence and all your gears to be out of alignment. If yours is pushed way in, try using a strong magnet to pull it back out.
