anybody have knowledge on jetting a raptor .theres twin carbs and the mains are 140 and 145 stock .first why is there two sizes when rejetting for a pipe, and ( dmc alien) doesn,t recommend needle replacement ,why?
these questions come from the fact that now at the end of a drag race
the quad backfires and pops . too lean ? :what

If you go to bluetraxx.com they have a whole forum on just raptors. I'm sure they could help you out. I know one main is supposed to be smaller. Not sure why, but they are all like that. If I could help you out more I would, but I think bluetraxx would be your best bet.

I would imagine the one main is smaller due to the distacnce that carb is from the cylinder. I know that is the way it is on the Kawasaki 700. The carbs are different lengths from the cylinder, so they adjust the jetting to compensate for it.

There are 3 intake valves, just like the YFZ. But, there are 2 intake ports. One carb feeds one side, with one valve, and the other carb feeds two valves.
