I recently orderd a set of star series powermadd handguards for my 2007 yfz450. I later saw online you also need an adapter for the parking break to clear the guards. But on motosport it says the adapter does not fit the 07 yfz450 but i know other places offer it. My question is do i not need it? Does it clear on the 07 yfz450?

Yes you will need it. I used it for a few years on both yfz's but ended up just taking parking brake off of of both. I haven't missed the parking brake at all, just used a Velcro strap to hold the front brake lever when transporting.
