for the guys who painted there wheels black how do they hold up from the sand blasting at the dunes

i sand blasted mine then i primered it. 2 coats. I heated each coat with a heat gun. Then i got black epoxy paint-Did 3 coats.
I did the same thing to my a-arms to. Holds up pretty good for not being PC.

mine was done professionally and is holding up fine.
i wouldn't compare the force that we create on the bike to a sandblaster. what i mean is, the force is not comparable. your wheel's paint shouldn't come off. unless of course you just spray paint them black with some krylon.

Well I'm sure we all know there is a slight sand blasting effect on polished wheels but it's not quite as bad on powdercoated wheels. They will lose a little bit of the gloss but will still look good. Rattle can is a waste :strokin: , pc them or leave them alone. Not sure about the black epoxy paint?
