Just traded my Honda 700XX for an 09 YFZR for my wife to start MX racing. Both my kids race MX also.

It all stock and I'm looking at just doing the basic mods to it until she gets a few races under her belt on it.
I'm looking at the full Yoshi RS2 exhaust and FCI intake with box. Hopefully I can use a foam filter on it and not the K+N I keep seeing listed with it.

Also looking around it looks like the Vortex is the ecu to go with. Is it really that much better than the MSD?

The yoshi seems to be a good pipe on the Rs and is lower on the decibels compared to other pipes. Fci is the best intake u can buy. I would recommend running it without the box unless u are riding in really wet swampy conditions. Fci's filter is an 8 ply filter vs K&Ns 4 ply so it provides a lot better filtration and a lot of guys can vouch for that. Welcome to the forum btw.
