Just wanted to post that I am new to the forum. I recently purchased an 04 YFZ 450 and it ran like a scalded cat! Not even a month after the purchase i am having to rebuild the bottom end and i needed to research before the rebuild! Any help would be much appreciated, thanks all!

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the purchase! Oem is going to beat hot rods in reliability 9.9 times out of 10 for starters. Good luck with the build! Oh, and I'd do oil mod as well if it hasn't been done yet.
