I decided to change the factory jetting and when I removed the stock needle it had the letters NDSR and it has 7 grooves with the clip set in the 4 position. I read in here that the stock needle was a NCVR with 6 grooves and set to 3. Has anyone else seen this?

The NDSR needle is the stock needle and it has 7 clip settings.

The needle most folks are using is the stock YZ needle the NCVQ.

That is correct, but you cannot use clip #6 or clip #7 unless you modify the stock needle.

you can look on my web site how to modify the needle. you basically grind off the fat end until it is ALMOST to the first notch then you can use clip #6 and clip #7

or just buy the jet kits.

the best kit for your money is made by pahrump here, it is a good assortment,
and comes with the NCVQ needle, give him a PM.
