Just want to let you guys know I'm playing with the stock muffler. I chopped it in three sections to see the inners. The canister is two parts. The front half is just a large open can with a thin layer of packing around the outside. There is no pipe through it, just feeds into the "chamber". Dividing the two halves is a plate with 2 3/4 inch holes. that feeds into the second chamber. The tube you see from the back of the pipe just has two oval 3/4 to 1 inch holes that the exaust uses to get out of the pipe. What I did was , for what I had to use, make 7 1/2 inch holes in the plate side of the exit tube and another 5 holes in the plate that feed the 2nd chamber. Now gasses can flow right into the exit tube and a little more into the second chamber. Welded it all back up and will be testing it today. The noise is the same with the baffle removed. :evilgrin
