that is a pretty good pipe. im in the same boat as you on the intakes. if you dont plan on changing rear shock then the woods would be ok. but there are also alot of fcis out??
Ive got the lrd on my yfz.It sounds really good looks good and at seems to add a bunch of power though the revs.It gave it a crap load of overrev also.As for the intake i dunno im on the market for one to, ive heard good abouth both intakes
FCI= best intake for all-around
LRD would be the choice between those 2 for an MX style bike.

Keep looking around, there might be better options out there for your application

I have done the zip ty mod on the carb, changed the leak jet to a 45,did the cammod,and put the gytr filter on,put the pipe on and rejetted.Its a real bird wather now.
I just put a buddy's bike together a few weeks ago with a LRD pro 4 and a Ron Woods intake it runs real well. It is a big improvment on top. I like the pipe it fits good and not real loud. But I have the FCI on my bike and I like it better than the Woods. Just watch when you put the carb insert in the carb. The FCI don't clear my Elka shock real well and I have busted 2 carbs because when I'm fighting the intake past the shock the insert can slide out alittle and one good good twist and you have a chunk missing off of the intake bell. I just don't run the insert no more.
The LRD exhaust is awesome! I had the LRD Pro 4 R w/Ron woods intake until I bought a rear shock. My yfz hit real hard in the mid-range.

just wondering - can the Ron Woods be used with an airbox?
Ron Woods offers one that can be used with the air box and one you can use without. Im sure you could modify either to work the way they werent intended though.

Yes. The ron woods I used required the airbox.
