make sure you have the little ball in the center of the shaft
Try starting it (in neutral of course) all the oil probably drained from behind the ball.
I just got mine going earlier today, all you have to do is make sure that where the cable nearly ends, that it's on the small bracket thing on the battery negative lead, and follow it to the right side of the engine, there you will find a long nut and a small nut, undo those and turn out the long nut until the lever is tight enough
im having this same issue.. replaced clutch now the motor wont engage.. i can click into all gears but wont do anything.. clutch cable has been adjusted up top at lever and at half way point by motor.. any ideas??

Is there any free play in the lever?

It sounds like you have the oppisite problem of unfiction.
He should check his ball.
the lever has some freeplay.. ive adjusted it as much as possible but just makes the lever down on the motor pull in as if im pulling in the clutch..
oh and whats this ball your talkin about.. no oil behind it?? so confused.. all i did was pull old clutch out, replace with new one, put back together then changed the oil.. now theres no clutch!

Did you take the plunger out that is in the center of the clutch? The ball in question is behind it.

How many plates did you put in?
What clutch kit did you buy?
there was 8 plates and i put in 8 plates... its a tusk.. my brothers cheap haha..

were all 8 plates the same size? If they are, and you had the stock assy in it before, then you need to remove the thin steel washer and conical spring that are in the center of the oem thinner friction plate. It usually sticks on the inner hub and is a little hard to notice.
