Like the title says, i'm looking into buying a jet kit. Is there any kits out there that are better than others or any to stay away from?? Let me know what you guys think.

My opinion would be to just go to your local parts store or dealership and buy the size u think u need and then buy the size below it and the size above it. This will cost u around 10 for about 3-4 mains and 2 pilots. You will save some money that way
If you are looking to buy a kit my personal recommendation would be the GYTR kit. I had an 04 and I tied to use a Dynojet kit but I could never get it right. When I got my 07 I got the GYTR kit and was able to dial it right in. I agree with 2004yfzrider05 if you wanted to save some money just do a little searching on here to see which jets people are running and buy those.

My current setting is:

Pilot = 45
Main = 170
Needle = Middle slot
Fuel Screw = 1 ¾ to 2 turns out.

Ok. I understand what your saying but if i went with 2004yfzrider05 route i wouldn't know where to start. I bought the bike used and it has a k&n with the intake and no air box. I also just did the cam mod. Is elvation and location a factor when trying to find the right jets???
Yes, elevation and temp will affect how lean or rich your mixture is. I haven't seen much variation with ppl jetting though. I got a GYTR kit with my slip on and it seems to have most of what I need, but not all for some reason.

Unless you are riding at like 13K elevation, I'd get a 45 and 48 pilot jets, the NCVQ needle (has different clip positions), and main jets 165 and 170. However, if these don't work you'll be p!ssed that you had to buy every jet individually when you could have just bought the set that had more main jets (mine had needle, 45p 48p, and mains from 155-170).
