Does anyone know if the stator on the 450r is the same as the previous models?thanks guys for the responses. I dont have any ridding buddies that have a yfz so I didnt know if it was the norm or not. I just know that the other guys have headlights with the engine off. I thought maybe I was given a bike with a defective switch or something.
On a side note. 3 years ago a buddy following the pack at night wrecked and went over a semi steep cliff and nested 100+ feet down. We turned around and followed the trail down. With little too no skid marks on the trail I'm sure we wouldnt have found him but, ofcourse, his headlights remained on.
you noted that the battery would drain and the bike wouldnt start. Does the yfz require alot of cranking amps? I ask that because buddies of mine can just sit there and drink beers for a half an hour with their lights on and their bikes start up with no problem.[/b]
