I was heading out the door, but first took one glance at the YFZ forums and I read a post to a solution to the hardshift problem on some YFZ's.

OK,, I should have bookmarked the thread, and searching I can't locate it, so raise my rent.

The thread went something like some YFZ's had the shifter improperly assembled at the factory and they will be hard to shift. I think it was a washer outta place.

One of my YFZ's shifts super smooth, the other very hard to shift, I feel it may have this problem.

Anyone got more details on the problem so I'm knowledgeable when I go into the dealer to get it fixed??

Thanx,,,

I change the oil and filters ever trip.

YZ owners ride up and tell me the engine is bullet proof. really durable, but keep the oil and filter fresh.

It turns out they're right.

Awsum machines the YFZ 450's,, really awsum.

Worth every dime I paid for them.

Some of the early YFZ's had small burrs on the shift drums that was causing shifting problems. Usually ridind g the dang thing took care of it.

And I agree these bikes are worth every dime, one of the best purchases I have ever made. :D
