Glowing Header 09 450r

Couple quick questions for new YFZ450R owners:

I've owned multiple sport quads (250R, Raptor660), but never a 450. So I've never experienced a glowing header before. I know the pipes on 450s will get hot, hence the coloration after break-in. But I just got a new 450R and started it up for the first time, and the pipe was glowing read just out of the cylinder head until I took it for a quick 20-second ride. Is this normal?

Also, the exhaust gasket where the head pipe meets the mid pipe/silencer was smoking. Will the gasket do this until it seats or wears in?

Finally, I've never owned fuel injection. So how do I know when the quad is warmed up? The idle seemed a little high.

All fluids checked out fine, no obstruction in the air box/filter.

the glowing header is perfectly normal with the YFZs, and im sure the smoking was just some random oils burning off, if it keeps smoking, then i would investigate some more.

Thanks. I did search the forums and saw this is common for the original YFZ, but I didn't see any posts about the new 450R. As for oils, that's what I figured, but the gasket area is dry. I'd say it's definitely the gasket itself burning.
Mine did that 1 time when it was hot out. We were riding all day and it got dark and I looked down and completely freaked out as the thing was bright red so I killed it right away. Found out it was normal since I guess its thinner titanium it will glow a little bit but its normal

The '09 isn't that much different from the older models. It's completely normal to glow and there is probably some residual oil from the factory that is most likely burning off, it will be gone after the first few hours of riding. The gasket is not burning as it is made of metal, trust me.
