i payed $216 for my pro design/K&N kit. Thats canadian tho
hey stix i looked at your quad profile and noticed you have the g force axel i also have it,but i was wondering if that lock nut they send you with the axel is suppose to have spin in it and that c ring holds it in place or is it suppose to have no spin in at all cause i can't seem to get it to stay tight
so what makes the fci better tahn the k&n and all the other ones????
The intake tube has a ton of research into it to produce the maximum air flow possible.
as mentioned above and also rat skat, and 8ply filter

My girlfriends bike has a g-force axle, even when it's tight you can turn it. It shouldn't spin freely, should have some resistance.

pro design/K&N kit.[/b]

Thats what i have now, will i be able to tell a difference, between a Proflo and a Fuel Customs
yes...you'll get an increase in tq and HP but the biggest difference will be in throttle response
I just installed one on an 08. is the transition ring required or recommended? also it seems too long. The tube goes past the bracket over an inch. Any ideas whY?
Are you sure you didn't install the bracket backwards? The transition ring isn't required but highly recommended.
How much of an improvement will the FCI make on a mostly stock 08? I've just uncorcked the stock pipe and rejetted.

i will make an improvement, but if you added a pipe you would def. feel the difference.

The bracket is on right. If I flip it around it sticks out even further. The tube is all the way agains the carb as well. I took out the transition ring thinking this would free up some room but it didn't really help all that much. I will try and take some pictures. I have another one on order for my personal bike and should be installing it tomorrow. I will see how that goes
Got it on! Called FCI and he gave me a few pointers. I really notice a difference in throttle response and how torquey it is over my Ron Woods intake. So far I'm lovin it :)
