This may be a waste of a topic, but I figured I would start a thread where members could post their jetting setups; along with altitude, so people with questions could have a resource. JIM

Jetted for mountains of southern WV ~ 1,500 - 2,500 feet

GYT-R full Ti exhaust
YZ cam
GYT-R air filter
Zip-Ty mixture screw

Main 168
Pilot 45
GYT-R needle 3rd clip
Mixture screw 1.75 turns out

I know I must sound a little lean to you guys, but it starts and runs the best with this setting and I don't have any detonation. I am going to get some type of K&N intake next, maybe that will put me closer to your settings.

desert elev. 2500-3000 ft.
glamis elev. 275 ft.
dumont elev. 1000 ft.

gytr header and alum. muffler
pro-flow with k&n filter
45 pilot
fuel screw 2 1/2 turns out
gytr needle on 4th clip
185 main jet

at these settings it starts easily, idles and accelerates smoothly. it might be slightly rich but i'll accept that rather than too lean.

HMF slip on w/ Lid off
175 Main

Ran Great! :O

Getting ready for Glamis, gonna try:
CFM airbox with K+N (coming)
NCVQ on #4
178 Main
45 pilot
2 turns out (It runs a little rich now but maybe the K+N and altitude change will dial it in)

I did not know that Dumont was only 1000'

I would have sworn it was closer to 2000'

GYT-R needle clip on 3th
170 main
48 pilot
2 turns on Zip ty
It is perfect on top, seems lean in the mid, and rich on bottom.
I'm going to put the clip in the 4th position and try 1 1/2 on pilot screw.

I was at the same settings as you and had the same problems.

Now I am at
175 main
45 pilot
4th clip on GYTR needle
and 1.5 turns on screw

Pahrump,

I see you leaned her out a bit ... did you have lots of carbon on the stock piston??
Yeah there was a bit of carbon buildup I was kinda surprised cause it seemed to sun good.

Runs better now, I tried the old jetting with the !3:1 first and it just frlt flat off the bottom and struggled to hit the limiter, so I leande it out a bit and seemd to perform alot better.

I still may drop the main to a 172 and see what it does.

That is if I don't have it on Methanol by New Years to try to keep up with selector :D
