I burn up my friction plates in my 06 about every 20-30 hours of riding. I follow the Maintaince schedule, however everytime I burn them up I notice my clutch basket and lower case resevoir is bone dry of any oil while my upper oil resevoir is reading above the full mark.
I plan to get better than oem plates and tougher springs this time, and I am a big guy who rides hard which doesnt help, but 20-30 hours? Thats only a 3-4 day trip to the dunes and its toaste. I used to check the loil levels before riding the first day and not check again if riding for a few consecutive days. I'll now check every few hours until I can fix the disappearing oil problem.
Any Ideas or solutions out there or is burning up the plates this fast normal?

Lack of oil will heat them up fast, so find out what is causing that first.

IMO OEM clutch fibers are best.... with YZ springs or any other set of after market springs.
