I just wanted to see if this is normal.
On my yfz on a cold start in gear it rolls the whole bike with the clutch in but when the damn thing is warm it starts fine in gear? any suggestions

I have noticed the same, curious but not too bothered by it.

Its just a cold clutch, what weight oil are you running?

Put it in neutral it will solve all your problems.

I've got 2 YFZ 450's and my neighbors have them too,, they all do this until it warms up.

Sounds like the hammers of hell at times until they warm up.

when mine is cold, it likes to start in neutral, with no choke, and only give it gas to get it cranked, but them let off for it to idle....very weird...every quad ive ever owned had its own way of starting

the clutch is acting normal.
for the clutch to work 100% the oil has to be warm.

or when you start it up and put it into gear it my want to jump alittle. or feel grindy......... must let warm up!

when i warm mine up in nutral. then i put it in first, and if it jumps foward and stalls i no its no ready to go. so wait a few extra minutes and try again and should be fine. works for me anyhow.
