Hey guys fitted a new front sprocket. When I tightened chain the chain side of the rear hub will move but the other side doesn't seem to won't to. It's a 05 and I have undone the hub nuts and given them a tap to make sure it's all loose. The closest I can get it in the marks is the right side (brake side) is almost 1 mark out from the other any ideas? What's wrong

Is the adjuster bolt on the brake side hard to turn? It may be bound up with all kinds of junk in there.

you may want to take the bolt out and put some antiseeze on it.

Or buy a 07 swing arm set up lol much better chain tension on them l

I managed to get it to move a little it's now half a mark out from each other I'll try and pull it apart and give it a clean up

sounds like that's your best bet. Clean it up with a wire brush and spray it down with some wd40 prior to reassembly.

Is half a mark which is about 2mm out a big issue

I wouldnt drive it, that means your axle isn't aligned probably with your bearings and there will be always a pull one way when on the gas.

Got it straight went riding and it keeps tightening chain like mentioned the right side keeps pulling back tight putting it out of alignment what is the problem I'm having any ideas in stumped

The old swingers were know en to do that. That is why alot of ppl changed to the newer style swing arm.

Anyway of stopping it cause I can't afford another swing arm

i had the same problem with my 05. It really isn't too hard to fix. Look in your manual and you might have to do a little more than what you are doing.

You should look into an 06 or newer swing arm. They are a million times easier to adjust. Only 4 allen bolts

Where you from? I have a complete 07 set up i kept when i traded my bike, just needs new carrier bearings

Find a manuel, if i recall there is a proper way also you suppose to tighten it, sprocket said last or something
