Yeah they do have an air/fuel screw. It is hidden under the plug on the bottom of the bowl. You have to remove the little plug in order to adjust it or to install an aftermarket screw. I would suggest the R&D flexjet if you buy one.
Carb Screw
I have a problem. DO the stock carbs have an air screw, a fuel screw, or a air/fuel screw. I'm just unclear.
Oh, and turning it which way does what? I have it at 2.5 turns out, as i was told by my local yamaha dealer is stock

bump, i still dont know which way it turns to do what.
The mixture screw on YFZ carbs adjust fuel. Twisting it in will lean it out, out will richen the mixture.
