Buying A Yfz, Which Year Should I Get?

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum - always browsed but never signed up till now. Anyway I'll be buying a used YFZ at the end of the month, and was wondering if there is any notable differences in the model years that I should consider when buying. I'll be using the quad for a little bit of everything - mx, trails, dunes, whatever. I'm looking to get a mostly stock quad with low hours on it because my main concern right now is reliability. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

they made several upgrades through out the years, in 06 they changed the swing arm design, up graded the brakes, changed the seat, raised the stem height, changed the compression and the cc's to a 449, in 07 they upgraded the oiling system, added fat bars.

i would look for a 07 or newer model, but all are great machines

I'd look for the cheapest if you plan on modding, if not, try to find the newest.
Add one vote for an '07 or later. The upgraded oil system improved reliability issues previous models had with rod bearing failures.
At least '06 and up. For $150 you can upgrade to the oil squirter and hight volume oil pump.
