Hi guys I am coming off a 660 raptor looking to buy a yfz I just don't know much about them. I know I want fuel injection and the better suspension like the X or R. Any help is appreciated like what years to look for and what cost I should expect.

The X and R are the ones with fuel injection. They are 09+ bikes. Anything under 2009 is carbed. 2014s are known to have bogging issues which can be almost be eliminated if not completely eliminated with a fuel controller/programmer. Some can get rid of it completely while others can't. Welcome to the site and good luck with ur search

you can get more power out of the older carbs with less money and the fuel injection cost a bit more to get the same power that you would get from a carb

I bought a 2008 ( last year carb) jetted it pipe intake and it's so reliable. Can't kill the thing plus it's plenty fast.

I purchased the r simply because it is already wider and I like the economics of it more.

i got my 09 yfz450r for $3800 and it was bought new in 2013 and only went to the dunes once and never rode after. Deal no one could ever pass up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
