According to the YFZ 450 owners manual its says to check the valve clearance at the first one month interval and then again at three months. It says to take it to the dealer because most likely we don't have the tools.
Also it says the same thing about the brakes, clutch, steering system, wheel bearings, front and rear suspension, fittings and fasteners, and light switches, upper and lower arm pivot and steering shaft, rear arm pivot. All to be checked at the first month and recommends taking it to the dealer.
I thought these were suposed to be low maintanence? I guess it can't hurt to take it in though.
