As some of you might have seen from my previous posts, I'm fitting an '06 yfz 450 engine into a 1972 honda xl250 frame that is street legal. The frame is pretty small so the engine area just barely fits the carb and engine. To save space, would I be able to use one of the clamp on air filters that you see on a lot of bobbers? The ones that are cones that are about 3 inches deep and 3 inches wide? Does anyone know the air flow rate in cfm that this engine intakes at max rpm? The cones are rated to around 400 cfm depending on the manufacturer. Thanks!
