Im picking up my new 2021 YFZ 450r se next week and am wondering what are some must have mods? I got the HMF full exhaust, Vortex ecu, FCI intake and some nerf bars. Any help would be appreciated.

Personally, I would do suspension, stabilizer... and possibly a stem with flex bars or a precision clamp before anything else. If you are comfortable you will go faster and have more control.
Pipe fci vortex steering damper 38 motorsport oil breather and ais delete. Also 8inch bead lock rr rims and good tyres all round would be a good choice. stockers wouldnt be the best
clutch basket so you don't grenade the current Garbo basket.
yes get rid of the stock slipper clutch. Swap it out with the 09-13 basket and pressure plate and all related items. Dont delay on doing this. Its a ticking time-bomb.

I don’t know how you did that, the slipper assist factory clutch that comes in the newer efi models has three bolts and springs and 3 rubber dampeners in the pressure plate. So you can just put the 09 basket in thrust washer in and one other washer and just drop the slipper clutch right in. I had to order the 09 stock basket because the Hinson so I was told does not come with the primary drive gear. And the gear that’s on the Slipper basket won’t work, again so I was told. Just FYI. Hinson makes/made a basket that did include the Gear. I purchased one in December 2020 but I do not find it on their site anymore. Maybe a call to them and see if it’s just not advertised anymore? Just a thought. Below is the Part Number for reference but this is the “09” Basket and gear setup. Does include the appropriate thrust washer as well in this kit. Gear is bolted to and pinned from their factory.You ordered the 09-13 kit? If so did the basket come with the gear?
