What’s the difference from the 2019 YFZ 450r and the 2020 YFZ 450r? Are they making any changes from the 2020 to the 2021?

Color of the plastics, frame, A-arms and seat...that’s about it for 14-2020. 2021 however, as atvman8351 stated, it was delayed so what changes if anything other than cosmetic exist is still up in the air. I doubt there will be any mechanical difference. If they were working on a wholesale change, I suspect it would have leaked by now.

I did call a motorsport company in California today and they expect the 2021's to be in by mid 2021 and are taking deposits. Fingers crossed they come in.

2020s They added the round Yamaha Proven Off Road decal top of gas tank plastics
2019+ they added reflectors to the front and rear.
2018 - (unders) do not have the reflectors.

Each year MSRP goes up 100 bucks.

I say BS on the pandemic BS. If that was the case there would not be any 2021 side by sides on dealerships. Uncles nephews wives kids my neighbor they all want a side by side. Thats the real reason. Manufacturers follow the money. They do not care if just a few folks want quads.

It's really weird because in California there are TONS of side by sides at any dealer but it's almost impossible to find a yfz 450.

Do side by sides REALLY rev your heart as much as a fast mofoko BIG 3 quad? Side by sides got good "hit" when stomping the go fast pedal?
