When I try to start my quad in any gear with the clutch pulled in fully the quad moves forward. I have checked the clutch basket and plates and everything looks fine. Just wondering what could cause this. The quad doesn't even run just has this problem as the starter is turning over. Thanks for the help!

I have the same problem. I don't really think anything is wrong just its cold and things are kinda stuck and the oil is thicker you know what I mean? After min warms up its fine, but I wouldn't worry about it too much

I had that problem when I switched to synthetic. When I run Honda 4R... I don't have that problem. Could also be the weather as they said.

I had a similar situation. My metal plates were bad. Had dark spots on them. Some completely dark. I replaced the friction plates and the metal rings. Issue is gone. Also just a side note. Make sure the oil you are using is wet clutch compliant.
