05 Vs. 06 Crank/rod

I have a 05 450. I was given 2 separate rods that came with it and i was told it has a true 450 crank. What is the difference between the 05 and 06 crank and rod and can i tell by looking at the crank whether it is a 05 or 06 without taking it out and how can i tell what rods were given to me?

You can pull the head off and measure how far the piston travels in the cylinder. If it is 62 mm then it has the older crank. If it is 63.4mm then it is the newer crank. As far as the rods the longer rod is the 05 and the shorter one is the 06.
