It works but it lowers the compression like .5 or something like that.
05 And 06 Head Swap ?
has anyone put a head from an 06 on an 05. will it work and are there any problems with installation??

It works but it is not a .5 decrease in compression. Most of the compression difference between the 04/05 models to the 06-09 models is from the short rod used in the 06+ cranks. I'd say about .1+ loss due from the head. IMO.
Is there really going to be a performance increase from the different porting though? I have my doubts...
