To use or not to use

I'm considering ditching my nerf bars and just going with pegs and heel guards. Racing XC. Anyone got any why nots or why to's.

With heel guards you can put your feet down and kind of reverse yourself but nerfs can provide impact protection

This is a dilemma that I have been facing. I have used the nets from slick muddy pegs and the bars have saved me other people side swiping me. So they have done there job.
But man I cant tell how many times I've wished I could put my feet down. I have the houser xc. I have thought about cutting them and making them just heel guards. But I'm scared I won't like it.

I switched from always running nerfs to only running heal guards and I love it. You definitely want a good peg that will hold you (I run Rath's) but other than that it's great. I might switch back currently so that I can run some MX but even then I would want the nerf bars easily removable. In woods racing it's way better without.

Not in XC or Desert racing. I think it's MX and TT only.

Very nice.
Iím not a fan of full nerf bars. Or net heal guards.
