I race XC a few times a year and the suspension on my 2013 450R is stock. What would you all recommend for a front shock upgrade while keeping the stock a-arms? I have the ability to basically get a revalve from Race Tech at cost or was thinking of just purchasing Fox or Motowoz (possibly EXIT) shocks if they will help a good deal. Stock seems pretty harsh on small to medium roots and bumps. TIA for any advice.
If you plan on upgrading to long travel in the future I would do a revalve. I hear Derisi Racing does some great work. That way you can save some money to put toward your LT setup later. If you're not going to upgrade to LT later I would say it's better to just bite the bullet and get a decent set of shocks.
I have a revalved rear shock from Derisi. He does great work
