Default New Member Benefit - Free eBay Listing

Hey Guys:

We are going to be trying out something new with the classifieds section here today. It is basically an add on that will allow members to post their vehicle for sale on eBay Motors Classified section for free and without any duplication of effort.

All you need to do is create a new thread in the For Sale section. Once you click the new thread button you'll be prompted to continue and get started. If you choose to list your car on Ebay as well and take advantage of the free listing, you'll need to click the Login into eBay button, which will open a page on eBay for you to login to and give access to the plug-in. If you don't wish to use it, just click "No Thanks".

Once completed, you'll return to the forum. click continue, fill out the information and submit the ad. Your listing will be posted to the forum and also to the eBay Motors Classifieds section.

Remember, this is for selling vehicles only. If you try to use this for selling anything but a vehicle, your ad will not appear on eBay. Also, the usual eBay fees apply once your vehicle is sold on their site.

Let me know how you like/dislike this new feature.

i dislike it, ive been fighting like hell to stop jackasses from listing ebay auctions here, whats the point of classifieds for members to sell items if all they are going to do is link an ebay auction? might as well just go visit ebay...

and using the forum to simply beef up and get the highest bid possible on their stock shocks is pretty shitty too...

it sure would be nice if you guys would consider running some ideas past some of us before making these type of upgrades... since me and jigg are the only two people actually running the damn forum, it wouldnt take much effort to talk us about it.

I felt the the same way as you level but I just did not want to be the first one to complain about it.

And you know everyone just comes to a YFZ450 site to buy a car or truck ect. I'm awarding who ever thought of this the bad idea of the day award.

Why would I want to pay Ebay fees to sell a quad, when I could list it here, not have to deal with all the bidding wars, and pay no additional fees? This site concentrates 80% of the potential YFZ owner market as it is. The ability to deal on a quad or lower a price is so much easier by just hitting the edit button on your original post.

I would be curious to know if Ebay and Central are splitting fees, or Central receives a percentage of each sale by linking with Ebay?

i can only assume sites are starting to link together like facebook has linked with everything. you can link all your sites together, and everything goes between each other, not sure where the money is going or coming from, but i can only guess linking your 4 wheeler site with the bullshit auction site like ebay can only bring more buisness yourway...

I have to agree with Level completely, and Husker has a very good point also. If you want to bid on something go login on ebay, and don't start the shit on here. But looks like it is most likely not going to matter what the members on here have to say about it. DISLIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

What the fuk is wrong with this site.... errr..... I mean what the hell are you (OWNER....i.e. ATV.com/ bullshit) thinking? Why not just own a porn site. You would make more money. Seeing how that is ALL you are in it for.

This is a stupid idea, but not your first and I bow my head in shame knowing it will not be your last. So go on, continue with your idiotic ideas and watch the members fall off this site, and then you can own nothing but a dating/ penis enlargement, erectile disfunction, spit hole site.

So I'll step aside and watch you ruin it further. Rant over.
